Job Description
Overview The Warehouse Production Supervisor is responsible for establishing metrics and scheduling for all processing departments and employees. This role ensures that all production departments are operated in a manner consistent with company safety initiatives and within all OSHA / Government agency guidelines. Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, supervise all activities pertaining to steel processing. Ensure that employees have all resources available to effectively meet or exceed required production and quality goals and provide customer service consistent with management expectations while maintaining a safe working environment
- Establish and execute efficient, orderly and safe material handling procedures.
- Organize work schedules, shift responsibilities and production schedules
- Training of new employees in safety protocols, proper work assignments, and job responsibilities
- Control absenteeism and maintain discipline consistent with Intsel Steel East policies
- Communicate and cooperate with other departments to resolve and prevent problems
- Control housekeeping
- Coordinate processing schedule, route orders for delivery and communicate with sales departments, logistics departments, purchasing departments and accounting departments
- Promote and encourage a clean and safe work environment to include PPE training
- Inspection of all materials to be processed and shipped
- Schedule all maintenance and maintenance programs for all processing equipment
- Respond to emails/ phone calls /messages within acceptable timeframe.
- Coordinate stock checks, locate missing material, change of locations and investigate inventory errors
- Implement methods of efficient material flow and equipment usage
- Perform Employee evaluations
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2-4 years of prior warehouse supervisory experience, preferably with a metals, fabrication or manufacturing background.

- Able to deal effectively with employees / customers / Truck drivers and Vendors
- Ability to multi-task, ability to deal with constant changes circumstances and situations
