Job Description
Ainsley Search Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor with solid experience in discrete manufacturing process to join a fast-growing performance Materials Manufacturer located in the Philadelphia County. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, 2nd shift, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will lead a team of Production Operators to streamline daily operations for the Assembly Department, maintain close collaboration with Fabrication, Machining and Engineering team, based on production goals to schedule for production, standardize procedure and drive LEAN Methodologies and process improvement. This opportunity offers excellent compensation, benefits and bonus, in addition, the company would like to develop the right individual to become the Production Manager in the near future.
Responsibilities:
- Report to Plant Manager and lead a team of Production Operators to streamline daily production operations for the batching, coating, laminating, machining processes.
- Close collaboration with quality, maintenance and R&D teams, based on customer specifications on products to determine BOM and production schedule.
- Provide hands-on leadership to subordinates, provide mentorship, coaching and standardize production process and procedure to further reduce loss time and drive process improvement.
- Conduct production kick-off meeting, weekly and monthly meetings with management and direct reports, ensure production process and output meets KPI metrics, objectives, budget and timeline, address bottleneck and implement corrective action to reduce recurring issues.
- Develop, maintain and modify production KPIs, develop new strategies and implement change management on new process and procedure.
- Manage materials for raw materials and finished goods, optimize materials flow across production based on production goals and capacity, avoid materials shortage, slow moving or overstock issues.
- Ensure compliance of quality, collaboration with inspection team to ensure production process and finished products meet quality standard.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, higher education strongly desired.
- Hands-on leadership experience in managing a small production team, recent leadership experience in managing a job shop environment, familiar with assembly, fabrication or machining process.
- Solid knowledge of engineering blueprint and shop drawing.
- Experience in lean manufacturing environment
- Outside of box thinker, excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to advance to a leadership level and desire to train, coach and lead a team.
- Able to pass background check and drug screen
