Full Job Description Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Position has responsibility to develop (with input from the project engineers & other authors) & maintain the weekly shop schedule, review work orders as needed, issue work orders to shop leads & shop personnel, review & approve timesheets, and submit daily shop notes to management. Solve problems, answer questions, and give input on design & standards when needed. Review and approve shop leave requests, track absences, take care of any disciplinary actions, and hold interviews with prospective shop employees.- Supervise and manage daily operations of the shop
- Provide leadership and guidance to shop employees
- Oversee the trades in the shop (electricians, carpenters, welders, painters, machinist, mechanics)
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
- Train and develop shop staff to improve performance
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees-Create schedule for the shop to meet government deadlines. ```Qualifications```
- English (speaking and writing)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge in Welding
- knowledge in OSHA
- Experience in a manufacturing warehouse.
- Experience in quality assurance/inspections
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$55,000.00- $65,000.
