Must have proven metal fabrication experience, experience with programmable and/or CNC and AXYZ fabrication machinery, blueprint-reading ability, and OSHA 30 Certification. Leadership experience as a shop foreman, lead fabricator, supervisor, or similar role is strongly preferred. Job Description Supervise and coordinate daily metal fabrication shop operations. Lead, assign, and monitor work performed by fabrication shop employees. Plan and prioritize production according to project requirements and deadlines. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and fabrication plans. Oversee cutting, forming, bending, punching, drilling, welding, fitting, assembly, and related fabrication processes. Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and oversee programmable, CNC, and AXYZ metal fabrication equipment. Assist with programming, machine setup, tooling, and production adjustments. Troubleshoot equipment, programming, and fabrication issues and determine effective solutions. Ensure materials, measurements, layouts, tolerances, and finished products meet specifications. Inspect work throughout production to maintain high standards for quality and accuracy. Maintain production schedules and ensure projects are completed safely and on time. Monitor material usage, inventory, tooling, and equipment requirements. Train, mentor, and provide direction to shop employees. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient shop environment. Enforce company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements. Coordinate with project managers, estimators, purchasing, field personnel, and other departments. Perform hands-on fabrication and equipment operation when needed. Identify opportunities to improve shop efficiency, production processes, quality, and equipment utilization. Qualifications Proven metal fabrication experience. Previous shop foreman, lead fabricator, supervisor, or comparable leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment. Experience with programmable and/or CNC and AXYZ metal fabrication machinery. Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications. Ability to work with computerized machine controls and fabrication programs. Strong knowledge of measurements, layouts, tolerances, tooling, and fabrication techniques. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and production problems. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and production priorities. OSHA 30 Certification required. Ability to work safely in a fabrication shop and lift/move materials up to 50 pounds.
