Building Materials Manufacturing Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations within a growing building materials facility in the greater Reno area. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, driving safety, quality, and productivity initiatives, and developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience leading frontline employees, improving operational performance, and maintaining a strong safety culture while ensuring production schedules and customer commitments are achieved. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals. Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees while fostering accountability and engagement. Monitor production performance and address operational issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental standards. Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support smooth plant operations. Conduct shift meetings, performance discussions, and employee training initiatives. Maintain production records, staffing schedules, and operational reporting. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Support employee development, performance management, and workforce planning efforts. Ensure products are manufactured according to quality specifications and customer requirements. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Prior experience leading, supervising, or coordinating production teams. Strong communication, coaching, and employee development skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and effectively prioritize competing demands. Working knowledge of safety, quality, and production best practices.
