Job Description

2nd shift
GENERAL PURPOSE
Assists the Supervisor in the day-to-day operations of an assigned department. Disburses schedules and ensures a smooth workflow through the department, conducts material inspections and quality audits of WIP and any finished items; monitors inventory levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Disburses schedules and ensures a smooth workflow through the department Provides direction and troubleshoots with department associates as needed to ensure a smooth production flow Coordinates the department materials set-up working off the schedule, controlling the workflow to operators Conducts material inspections and quality audits on sewn items. Coordinates and/or handles the repairs as needed Monitors inventory levels and brings materials to the department from storage areas as needed Assists with on-the-job training for associates newly assigned to the department as well as with current associates regarding any new procedures Assists the operators in the basic repair and maintenance of equipment. Notifies the Supervisor of any equipment needs or concerns Performs all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures and champions a safety culture. Maintains work area in a neat, clean and orderly fashion
REQUIREMENTS
