Job Description
At Qualitrol in Fairport, NY, the Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production while meeting quality standards and production targets ## Key Responsibilities
Supervise Production Activities:
Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality specificationsTeam Leadership:
Manage, train, and motivate production workers; foster a positive, productive work environmentQuality Control:
Monitor processes to meet quality standards; implement corrective actions when neededSafety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and provide safety trainingProcess Improvement:
Identify and implement efficiency gains, reduce waste, and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen events)Inventory Management:
Track raw materials and finished goods; coordinate with procurement for timely material availabilityReporting:
Maintain production data records; prepare and submit reports to the Plant ManagerProblem-Solving:
Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize disruptionsCommunication:
Serve as a liaison between management and production staff, ensuring clear communication of goals, changes, and updates ## QualificationsEducation:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferredSkills:
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with manufacturing software/toolsKnowledge:
Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations ## Physical Requirements- Ability to stand for extended periods.
