About the Role Provide day-to-day management of the yard, operating equipment and other resources to ensure safe and efficient operations, and high-quality handling, cleaning, and control of assigned construction mat inventory. Includes the movement, storage, repair, and recovery of construction mat products. Provide high level of service to external customers and internal company departments. Assure area of responsibility achieves compliance with policies, procedures, and other requirements. What You'll Do Consistently demonstrate commitment and support for the Sterling Vision and Mission, policies, and procedures. Responsible for the safety performance of the team, as well as operational productivity and the accuracy and reporting of performance information. Lead the daily activities of resources and equipment assigned to the mat yard, including operating, material handling, yard and paperwork organization. Oversee receiving, shipping, sorting, cleaning, stickering and repair of construction mats. Responsible for day-to-day management of the mat yards inbound and outbound flow of trucks, handling bills of lading, daily equipment inspections, daily safety meetings, JTHA's, and mat grading/sorting. Operate a wheel loader and skid steer. Excavator a plus. Provide effective yard management to achieve operational expectations. Perform material handler and other duties as needed to achieve objectives. Participate in projects as requested by management. Full-time hourly salary $25.67 - $29.77 dependent upon experience, and qualifications.
