Description:
What You'll Do As a Production Supervisor at Taber Industries, you will lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics. You will play a key role in developing your team, maintaining efficient workflows, and driving continuous improvement. Lead & Develop Your Team Assign and direct daily work, monitor performance, and provide coaching and development Support hiring, training, retention, and employee engagement Address employee relations matters, attendance, and performance concerns Drive Production & Workflow Efficiency Adjust staffing and resources to meet production schedules and optimize throughput Develop and execute cross-training plans to build team flexibility Monitor workflow and proactively remove bottlenecks Ensure Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety procedures Support and promote Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards Oversee Equipment & Processes Supervise equipment setup, operation, and maintenance (pneumatic, hydraulic, manual) Coordinate repairs and submit requests for new equipment with cost justification Ensure proper use and upkeep of all departmental equipment to minimize downtime Maintain Quality & Documentation Audit work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications Maintain accurate records for production, labor, scrap, and inventory Support cycle counting and documentation of nonconformances Collaborate with Engineering to maintain and improve standard operating procedures Support Continuous Improvement Identify process improvement opportunities and lead problem-solving efforts Analyze work orders, labor hours, and material flow to improve efficiency Provide ongoing feedback to improve production performance
Requirements:
What You'll Bring Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred Minimum 3-5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with lean manufacturing principles and inventory control Experience with ERP systems (Syteline preferred) Technical & Leadership Skills Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Strong decision-making and critical thinking abilities Proven ability to develop people and navigate ambiguity Other Requirements Strong computer and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the workday
