Job Description

Markin Tubing, LP is a leading manufacturer of welded steel tubing serving automotive and industrial markets. We are seeking a Quality Group Leader to join our Quality team at our Wyoming, NY manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an early- to mid-career quality professional who is ready to take the next step toward management. The role combines hands-on quality work, customer interaction, structured problem solving, and direct supervision of our Quality Lab Technicians. The Quality Group Leader works closely with the Quality Manager and is designed to provide increasing exposure to the responsibilities needed to grow into future quality leadership. What You'll Do Supervise and develop a team of Quality Lab Technicians, ensuring testing is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company and customer requirements Serve as a primary Quality contact for major customers Coordinate responses to customer quality concerns and product conformance issues Lead and support structured problem-solving activities Maintain and track corrective and preventive actions Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales to investigate issues and implement effective corrective actions Schedule, conduct, and support internal audits, including product, manufacturing process, and Quality Management System audits Develop, maintain, and improve procedures, work instructions, and related documentation Support PPAPs, laboratory reports, customer-specific requirements, and customer satisfaction activities Support continued compliance with IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001
What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing quality experience Prior experience in manufacturing quality or a related technical environment Strong problem-solving skills, including familiarity with 8D Ability to interpret customer requirements and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences Strong organizational and follow-through skills Interest and aptitude for supervising, coaching, and developing others Preferred Experience Experience with IATF 16949 and/or
ISO 9001
Automotive supplier or other regulated manufacturing experience Experience with internal auditing PPAP experience Prior team-lead, supervisory, or mentoring experience Experience with customer corrective-action systems and CAPA processes Work Environment This is an onsite position at our Wyoming, NY facility. The role combines office, laboratory, and manufacturing-floor activities and includes regular interaction with production personnel and other departments.

Full-time Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
