Summary Under direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for production activities of a complex electrical assembly and integration operation. The individual will supervise direct, indirect, and subcontracted personnel to meet business unit and company objectives. Essential Functions Lead daily assembly/integration operations ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are met while enforcing compliance of company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Plan the utilization of resources (human, equipment, materials, etc.) to meet department and company objectives most efficiently and effectively. Monitor production output and adjust resources as required. Coordinate daily work with subcontract electricians ensuring alignment with the integration team and daily goals. Manage direct reports' time/attendance, conduct periodic performance appraisals, and make recommendations for promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Assist with tracking and reporting key operational metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Partner with Engineering, Fabrication, Project Management, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and ensure production readiness. Coordinate training and certification of workforce through demonstrations, presentations, test administration, and applied general knowledge. Monitor and control labor and supply expenses for assigned personnel and equipment. Coordinate resolution of equipment problems by directing technical resources to diagnose and repair machinery. Implement and sustain Lean practices, including 5S, standard work, visual management, waste reduction, and continuous improvement. Coach and develop production staff to build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Minimum Education and Experience A minimum of a high school diploma is required. 5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, industrial integration, or plant operations, with 3 years in a supervisory role. Proven ability to lead direct labor operations in a hands-on manufacturing or assembly environment. Lean manufacturing knowledge, including experience with 5S, standard work, visual management, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated success building and leading teams through growth, change, or operational transition. Effective communication skills with ability to convey complex technical data and concise directions. Preferred Qualifications An associate degree or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is preferred. Experience with skidded solutions, large-scale equipment assembly, industrial systems integration, or mechanically and electrically integrated products. Background in environments involving large materials, overhead cranes, complex assemblies, or custom-engineered manufacturing. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP software and systems. Lean Six Sigma certification or formal Lean training
