Job Description

Summary of Position A 3PL company based in Chillicothe Ohio that supplies the automotive industry with assembly, kitting and sequencing solutions. In this fast-paced, ever changing environment, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of production for their shift. In this role, you will lead the manufacturing team in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. This role will also coordinate with other departments to meet customer requirements and drive performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. You will also be responsible for implementing / supporting Lean Manufacturing tools within the production area, while motivating the team to create high performance culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Functional
  • Direct personnel to insure completion of customer requirements
  • Provide clear communication of plant status to other supervisors and managers during shift changes
  • Assess KPIs and make necessary adjustments to ensure that these KPIs are being met
  • Assure that Standard Work is being followed in production processes
  • Assure that policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant products
  • Ensure that required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer and Warehouse Management System reporting requirements
  • Maintain Environmental, Health and Safety policies are being followed
  • Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance Leadership
  • Accountable for results realizing a sense of urgency around business imperatives and convincing others of that urgency.
  • Practices effective continuous process improvement techniques by eliminating non-value added activities
  • Stays focused on work activities and works through distractions.

Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of
WMS / ERP
Software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Production, Warehousing or Distribution
  • Knowledge of database and data management activities
  • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and follow up
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week or 8 hours per day as needed in order to support business needs.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
