Press Room Supervisor 1st & 3rd Shuft Edgerton, OH About Matcor - Matsu Group Matcor-Matsu Group is a fully integrated supplier of engineering and manufacturing services for automotive OEM customers. The company specializes in complex assemblies and stampings for body-in-white, interior, and seating applications. With manufacturing and technology facilities across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, our team supports the fast-paced automotive industry through advanced engineering, metal stamping, welding, and assembly capabilities. We are currently seeking a Press Room Supervisor to lead operations within our Press Room and support the production of quality components in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. Position Summary The Press Room Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production associates while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and attendance expectations are met. This position will provide leadership, training, direction, and support to associates while driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Press Department. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production associates. Inspect products to verify conformance to quality and production specifications. Direct machine setup activities and equipment adjustments as required. Interpret job orders and production requirements and communicate expectations to department associates. Assign work and monitor productivity to ensure production goals are achieved. Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Analyze and resolve production and personnel-related issues. Support and motivate associates to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Maintain accurate production, attendance, and labor records. Coordinate activities with other supervisors and departments. Conduct accident investigations and implement corrective actions when necessary. Provide onboarding, orientation, and training to new employees. Ensure acceptable attendance levels are maintained. Partner with the Quality Department to ensure consistent application of quality standards. Maintain compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements. Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment through good housekeeping practices. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Leadership Responsibilities Lead production personnel in the manufacturing of quality products in a safe and efficient manner. Train, coach, and develop production associates. Plan, assign, and direct work activities. Support performance management activities including coaching, discipline, and recognition. Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues. Foster a positive team environment focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
