Supervisor - Injection Molding

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor - Injection Molding to oversee our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for managing production teams, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and optimizing injection molding processes to meet quality and efficiency goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment. Duties Manage daily production or assembly teams by assigning work tasks to operators and material handlers, monitoring performance, providing coaching, and handling disciplinary actions or annual appraisals. Review production schedules and work orders to prioritize jobs effectively and ensure shift goals are achieved. Monitor manufacturing metrics such as press utilization, equipment effectiveness, and scrap rates to identify areas for improvement. Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or process failures promptly to minimize downtime, including technical troubleshooting of injection molding equipment. Enforce safety standards across the production floor, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and fostering a safe working environment. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing process data and implementing corrective actions as needed. Experience Proven experience in supervising injection molding or plastic manufacturing operations. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate production teams effectively. Technical knowledge of injection molding machinery, processes, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with manufacturing metrics such as press utilization, equipment effectiveness, and scrap reduction. Commitment to workplace safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing setting. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle process failures efficiently. Prior experience in managing safety protocols within a production environment is highly desirable.
