Position:

Machine Shop Supervisor Glunt Industries is seeking a full time Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team. The Machine Shop Supervisor provides leadership to the machining department at our Niles, OH manufacturing facility. This position will directly supervise up to 15 hourly associates and direct resources as required. They will oversee the planning, scheduling, setup, and running of production activities ensuring effective work performance is met. This position reports to the Plant Manager. Essential Duties /

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of fast-paced machining department
• Supervise operators, material handlers by assisting in the selection, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action of the employees
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Review job routers for accuracy and assist with planning/scheduling jobs in the machine shop to meet critical production shipping dates
• Ensure team members work in a safe environment and comply with all company safety policies
• Must be able to motivate, provide leadership, be a positive role model and create a strong team environment
• Provide regular performance feedback to employees and complete quarterly performance reviews on all direct reports
• Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Improves process workflow by eliminating stoppages; analyzing delays; testing new methods
• Identify and support continuous improvement efforts in machine shop
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager Education /

Experience :

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in machining
• Minimum 5-7 years of supervisory experience in machine shop/manufacturing
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed to meet customer expectations

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
