Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our St. Henry Harvesting plant in Mercer County, Ohio, prepares the turkeys for further processing and distribution. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Parts Crib Supervisor to join our team in St. Henry. The primary goal of this position is to partner with plant supervisors and management to support production, quality, employee safety, and workforce well-being by maintaining appropriate spare-parts inventory and helping minimize production-equipment downtime.
SHIFT HOURS
Monday through Friday 1st shift
STARTING RATE
Commensurate with experience
ADDITIONAL PAY
: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses
Job Functions:
Oversee parts purchasing, including verification of price changes and order quantities Prepare reports for maintenance management on CER status, inventory analysis, and vendor performance Verify and maintain appropriate spare-parts inventory levels Develop and maintain vendor relationships and resolve issues involving vendors and Parts Crib Attendants Administer the tool-reimbursement program Provide recommendations regarding personnel decisions, including hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and sanitation standards Manage disciplinary actions, pay-rate matters, attendance issues, and other personnel actions for assigned hourly team members A high school diploma or equivalent A bachelor's degree in poultry science, management, or a related field is preferred. In lieu of formal education, a minimum of three years of experience in a turkey processing facility may be considered. Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of safety practices, production objectives, and scheduling requirements are essential. The successful candidate must be able to lead and motivate a team, make sound decisions, and adapt effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with I-Maint, general computer applications, and basic mathematics is required. This position also requires knowledge of how parts are used throughout the plant and an understanding of production-line goals and operating requirements.
