Job Description
This position is not open to Recruiters and/or Agency Cosmo Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision engineered plastic components for the electrical and electronics industries. We produce over 500 million components each year, and our products can be found in nearly every type of consumer and industrial electronic device. We are a growth-oriented company with an 81 year history of innovation and quality. We have an immediate opening for a qualified Shift Supervisor (1st shift) Essential Functions Direct the day-to-day activities of shift operations. Lead employees to work in an efficient and safe manner to produce the scheduled quantity of high-quality parts. Supervise and coordinate the shift's personnel, equipment, and operations. Assign work in accordance with production priorities. Take corrective action for processes that are not meeting standards for safety, quality or efficiency. Monitor employee productivity to ensure that output meets established norms. Maintain adherence to company procedures, policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. Assist technicians with setup and troubleshooting of production equipment and processes when required. Monitor employee performance and conduct periodic performance reviews. Recommend measures to improve plant performance and increase efficiency. Recommend and/or initiate personnel actions such as disciplinary measures, and discharges. Train new and current employees. Accurately prepare and maintain appropriate records. Establish and maintain a leadership rapport with all employees on the shift. Interact with Plant Management, Shipping, Quality Assurance, Scheduling and Maintenance departments. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications related to manufacturing is a plus. Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment. Experience with plastic molding and/or light assembly operations. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures. Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams effectively.
