  • Interest List Only Phoenix Legacy Studios is gathering interest for a future Unit Production Manager position for our upcoming feature film Obsidian Rising .
Compensation will begin once production funding is secured. Role Overview The UPM oversees production operations, budgeting, logistics, and coordination between studio leadership and department heads. Candidates expressing interest will be contacted when the project enters funded pre‑production. Responsibilities (Upon Funding) Manage production budget and cost tracking Coordinate hiring, contracts, and onboarding Work with the 1st Assistant Director on scheduling Oversee vendors, rentals, and procurement Ensure union and labor compliance Handle insurance, permits, and legal documentation Supervise payroll and crew documentation Maintain communication across departments Requirements Experience as a UPM or Production Manager Strong budgeting and organizational skills Ability to manage complex logistics Clear communication and leadership Feature‑film experience preferred Compensation Compensation begins once production funding is secured , following industry‑standard weekly rates based on experience.
