Job Description

Job Description Summary:
The Materials Operator under the direction of management will supervise and oversee all aspects of the grain handling operation in support of company policy.
Scope of Responsibility:
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking and accounting.
  • Ensure product meets company and customer specifications.
  • Manage the efficient flow of inbound and outbound products and materials.
Key Duties and Tasks:
  • Silo and Storage Operations :
    Assist with daily loading/unloading of grain using equipment such as tractors and forklifts.
  • Reporting:
    Communicate operational status to the Manager daily and assist with equipment maintenance identification.
  • HACCP & Compliance:
    Audit production records daily for accuracy, maintain organized documentation for regulatory compliance, and visually inspect equipment for sanitation.
  • Food Safety & Quality:
    Comply with GFSI & CGMP's, Company Quality Assurance Procedures, and Safety Rules. Stay current with policy changes and federal regulations.
Team Cooperation:
Demonstrate dependability, act as a role model, and assist team members as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education:
    High School diploma or GED required; six months of related experience or training preferred.
  • Skills:
    Knowledge of food manufacturing processes; ability to work independently and maintain accurate, neat records; strong collaboration and communication skills with site leadership and line personnel.
  • Competencies:
    Strong reasoning, judgment, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities; high attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Mental Requirements:
    Basic arithmetic (averages/percentages); proficiency in reading, writing, and oral communication to apply the company policies.
  • Physical Requirements:
    Ability to walk, stoop, stand, and climb ladders or stairs up to 150 feet.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and high places.
Pay:
$15.00
