Job Description

Production Supervisor Hayden Industrial - 3.6 Tulsa, OK Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Team leadership High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility experience Managing manufacturing teams Manufacturing company experience
Full Job Description Overview:
Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations across two facilities in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and on-time production of small heat exchangers across our core processes — Coring, Lacing, CTC, and Brazing. The Production Supervisor leads the hourly team day to day, manages the schedule and workload to meet customer demand, and drives safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Production & Scheduling:
Plan and manage daily production across both facilities to meet output targets and customer ship dates. Build and adjust the production schedule, assigning people and workload across Coring, Lacing, CTC, and Brazing to keep work flowing. Monitor throughput, downtime, and on-time completion, and step in to clear bottlenecks and keep the floor on plan. Make sure materials, tools, and fixtures are staged so operators aren't waiting. Manage attendance, approve timecards, and control overtime to what the schedule needs.
Safety:
Enforce all Hayden safety policies and hold the team to them, including hot work / brazing permits, lockout/tagout (LOTO), compressed gas, hazard communication, and PPE. Make sure brazing and other hot work is done safely, with proper ventilation, fire prevention, and trained, qualified operators. Take part in monthly hazard walk-throughs, report and investigate incidents and near misses, and close out corrective actions. Support Stop Work Authority — expect anyone to stop a job that isn't safe — and correct unsafe conditions on the spot. Keep both facilities clean, organized, and audit-ready (5S).
Quality:
Ensure products meet Hayden's
ISO 9001
quality system and customer requirements across all four processes. Make sure work instructions, travelers, and inspection steps are followed, including in-process checks and leak / hydrostatic testing. Drive down defects, rework, and scrap; contain and document nonconformances and support root-cause corrective actions.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, coach, and develop the hourly team across both facilities and all assigned shifts. Address employee issues and concerns promptly and fairly, partnering with HR when needed. Set clear expectations, give feedback, and handle performance and corrective action consistently with company policy. Make sure employees are trained and qualified for their tasks, and cross-train to add flexibility. Provide input on hiring and staffing, and help onboard new employees into the team and Hayden's safety and quality standards. Lead daily production and safety huddles and keep communication open with the team and other departments.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate's degree preferred but not required. 3+ years in a manufacturing or production environment, with 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role. Background in heat exchangers, HVAC/R coils, brazing, fabrication, or similar assembly work preferred. Able to read and work from blueprints, travelers, and work orders. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
quality systems and OSHA general-industry safety requirements. Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay organized under production pressure. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or ability to communicate across various dialects a plus.
Supervisor Responsibility:
This position supervises the hourly production team across both facilities and all assigned shifts, including planning and directing work, training and developing employees, managing performance and attendance, and addressing employee concerns in partnership with HR.
Work Environment:
This job operates primarily on the manufacturing floor, with some computer and office work, in an industrial environment that includes exposure to heat from brazing operations, noise, fumes, and moving equipment (with appropriate PPE). When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment including hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA-compliant safety boots/shoes.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the facilities for extended periods, and may occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, exempt position. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with additional hours or shift coverage as production demands require.
Benefits:
Hayden Industrial offers a generous benefits package including comprehensive health, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, a generous paid time off schedule, and professional development opportunities.
AAP/EEO Statement:
Hayden Industrial is an equal employment opportunity employer. Hayden Industrial recognizes and embraces federal legislation on equal employment opportunity and is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination. All applicants for employment and all employees will be afforded equal opportunity and treatment, regardless of age, race, religion, gender, national origin, disability status or other protected status.
