The production supervisor will make sure employees are trained to work in their designated area in a safe and efficient manner. Production Supervisors work closely with Production Manager to guarantee that the highest quality products are produced and delivered to the customer on time. We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our hard working and fast-paced team. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of production to ensure that products are produced in line with safety, quality and consumer requirements for the bakery. This position reports to and supports the Production Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Must lead by example by strictly following all company policies. Responsible for training and ensuring that production paperwork is filled out correctly by employees. Ensure safety rules are being followed at all times. Fill out incident, disciplinary action, HACCP, and any other necessary reports related to production in a timely manner. Perform quality inspections on products frequently through the day. Oversee the production process to effectively minimize overtime and total hours while producing the highest quality product in a timely manner. Ensure temperature control equipment, metal detectors and scales are all in working order and that employees are using them correctly. Monitor cleaning practices in all areas of the facility. Make sure employees are using chemicals properly. Monitor and enforce allergen program. Ensures employees are adhering to GMPs, SOPs, state and local regulations, in addition to customer specific requirements. Supervise, motivate and train employees. Work with other managers to implement the companies policies and goals Ensures that line inspection and in-process checks are properly conducted. Assists in investigations concerning operational problems and/or problems involving customer complaints. Anticipates issues and works proactively to resolve problems. Other duties as assigned Ability to: Required Communicate (hearing & speech). Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Stand, walk and move rapidly for extended periods of time. Bend, stoop, reach frequently, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive movements. Learn products, safety and sanitation procedures and department policies. Perform duties with efficiency and accuracy. Able to write and ensure technical content is correct.
