Are You the Leader Who Keeps Steel Moving?
Location:
Coatesville, PA We're Hiring Two Production Leaders JGM needs two foremen to run day-to-day operations in our structural steel fabrication shop, focused on
AWS D1.1
beam and column work.
Your mission:
coordinate people, processes, and equipment so work is safe, staged, and on schedule.
Schedule Mon-Fri:
5:00 AM-3:30 PM Every other two-week cycle: Mon-Fri, 5:00 AM-5:30 PM This alternating extended schedule is expected through at least December Optional Saturdays available weekly Is This You? Do you thrive leading machine operators, welders, fitters, and material handlers toward shared goals? Can you balance workflow across departments to prevent bottlenecks? Are you comfortable stepping in to troubleshoot equipment and process issues? Do safety and quality come first for you—always? Can you coach newer team members while keeping production targets in sight? Do you communicate clearly with leadership throughout the shift? Core Responsibilities Assign tasks and direct daily production Coordinate interdepartmental workflow and staging Track output against goals and deadlines Support equipment/operational troubleshooting Reinforce shop safety and quality standards Develop team members through coaching and feedback Maintain ongoing communication with shop leadership Qualifications 3-7 years in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments 3+ years in structural steel fabrication Beam/column or heavy structural experience preferred Prior crew leadership on a production floor Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving Ability to read fabrication drawings and work instructions Hands-on leader with a team-first mindset Technical Strengths CNC machinery: installation, setup/changeover, troubleshooting Lean manufacturing practices Heavy material handling, rigging, overhead crane
