Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Molding Shift Supervisor to lead our third shift operations within the manufacturing environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the molding process, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You will manage a team of operators, enforce safety standards, and drive continuous process improvements to meet quality and productivity goals. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining a high-performance manufacturing facility that emphasizes safety, precision, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Meet with Department manager and the other supervisor to review the work force and work orders. Maintain current records of the completed job orders and changeovers. Council employees with both work related and personal problems. Performance review on the technical employees. Host weekly production meetings with technical staff. Train staff on all technical procedures. Assist technician with troubleshooting when a mold malfunctions. Sample molds if required. Attend monthly supervisor meetings. Cover for fellow supervisors in their absence or on weekend shifts. Coordinate efforts with the Tool Room on molding issues. Schedule vacations for technical employees. Review and approve maintenance requisitions Experience 2-4 years supervisory experience preferably in molding manufacturing environment. Product knowledge of manufacturing plastic consumer products through injection molding. Computer literacy.
