A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.

  • Days Key Responsibilities and Duties Lead and direct 2nd shift production supervisors to meet daily production targets Ensure product quality, yield optimization, and efficient labor utilization Monitor and report key production metrics (efficiency, downtime, yields) Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and TQM Enforce compliance with HACCP, GMP, USDA, OSHA, and internal standards Partner with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime and reliability Collaborate with plant leadership, vendors, and regulatory agencies Maintain accurate HACCP documentation and production records Supervise, train, and develop 40-50 employees Manage staffing, scheduling, and attendance Conduct team meetings, coaching, and performance evaluations Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications Needed:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in poultry or food manufacturing Experience or strong background in high-volume food production environments Strong background in HACCP, GMP, USDA, and OSHA compliance Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and drive operational efficiency Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments A bit about us:
