Job Overview We are working with an established precision manufacturing company in the King of Prussia, PA area that is looking to add a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead its day-shift operation. This person will oversee approximately 45 production employees and 14 line leads across multiple production lines. The company is looking for someone who can build relationships on the floor, hold people accountable, improve processes, and help drive a stronger performance culture. This is a good opportunity for a manufacturing supervisor who enjoys being visible on the floor and wants the ability to make an impact rather than simply maintain the status quo. Responsibilities Lead daily production activities across multiple manufacturing lines Directly oversee production employees and line leads on day shift Set daily priorities and ensure production goals for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity are met Spend significant time on the production floor coaching employees and supporting operations Establish clear expectations and drive accountability across the team Build strong relationships with operators and front-line leaders Monitor production KPIs and address performance gaps Identify opportunities to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and overall workflow Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve production issues Lead employee training, development, and performance management Manage attendance, timecards, corrective actions, and other day-to-day supervisory responsibilities Support hiring, onboarding, and development of new production employees Ensure employees follow established safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies Qualifications Previous experience leading a manufacturing or industrial production team Experience directly supervising hourly production employees Strong hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead by example Proven ability to drive accountability while building credibility with employees Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process improvement initiatives Comfortable working with production metrics and KPIs Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a smaller or mid-sized manufacturing environment Experience in metals, precision manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, or another regulated manufacturing environment is a plus Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant manufacturing leadership experience will be considered in place of a degree
