Job Description

AMG Chrome US LLC is looking for a Plant Production Supervisor. The Plant Production Supervisor works closely with the Plant Manager coordinating production activities to ensure on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and optimal workflow throughout the manufacturing process, quality, delivery, production and financial performance for the assigned departments. Knowledge of the metals industry is desired but not required. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity. Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure raw materials and components are available to support manufacturing schedules. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address equipment downtime, labor availability, material shortages, or changing customer priorities. Analyze capacity, workflow, and lead times to maximize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks. Communicate schedule changes and production priorities to plant leadership and cross-functional teams. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory levels, and production efficiency. Maintain accurate production planning data within the ERP/MRP system. Collaborate with customer service and sales to provide realistic delivery dates and respond to changing customer requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization, waste reduction, and process efficiency. Demonstrates strong focus on the customer and quality Provide supervision for hourly production employees Maintain work schedules of employees to meet customer and business demand Identify and monitor performance indicators, measuring actual vs. planned Plan, maintain and communicate production requirements Provide direction and guidance to employees to achieve planned objectives Ensure that employees are properly trained Ensure employees have necessary resources to meet safety, quality and productivity standards Ensure adherence of all employees to company and plant procedures. Lead continuous improvement activities Order raw materials and supplies as required Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and capacity planning is preferred. At least 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing company Prior supervision experience preferred Knowledge of furnaces preferred Prior metal alloys industry experience preferred Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six-sigma strongly preferred Strong quality and customer focus Demonstrated leadership skills Ability work in a team environment to achieve business objectives Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organizational and planning skills
