Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing/Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in a fast-paced production environment. In this role, you will oversee daily operations on the factory floor, ensure safety standards are maintained, and drive continuous process improvements. Your leadership will be vital in coordinating assembly line activities, managing production schedules, and ensuring quality control to meet company goals. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who can: Lead, coach, and hold production employees and Line Leads accountable while maintaining a positive, motivated team environment. Direct daily production, staffing, scheduling, changeovers, and shift activities while meeting productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety goals. Troubleshoot production and equipment issues and work effectively with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and other shifts to keep operations running smoothly. Maintain and enforce SOPs, GMP, SQF, food safety, and safety requirements. Develop and train employees, including onboarding and ongoing safety/production training. Communicate effectively across departments and shifts and proactively address production issues. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Support the Plant Manager with broader plant activities and be capable of assuming Plant Manager responsibilities when needed. Available to work an overnight shift and be on call as needed We're looking for someone who combines strong people leadership with hands-on manufacturing experience. Beverage manufacturing, as well as, familiarity with SQF/GMP, and experience with preventive maintenance programs would be strong pluses. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations on the production floor, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Manage and motivate production teams, including managing shifts, assigning tasks, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and measuring instruments to facilitate assembly and manufacturing processes. Interpret technical drawings, production documents, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly and mechanical tasks are completed correctly. Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce safety standards in production areas, and promote safety protocol adherence among team members. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. Coordinate with quality control to monitor product standards, perform inspections using measuring instruments, and address any issues promptly. Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and recommending enhancements for efficiency and safety. Ensure manual handling procedures are followed for heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries. Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports for management review. Qualifications Proven experience in factory or manufacturing facility environments with a strong understanding of production processes. Hands-on experience with assembly line operations and mechanical assembly techniques. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing documentation. Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and forklifts. Demonstrated ability to manage production or assembly teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere strictly to safety protocols in a manufacturing setting. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record-keeping and documentation accuracy. Technical proficiency with manufacturing management software or related systems is a plus. Relocation- Relocation Assistance will be provided. This is an exempt role and compensation will be based on experience. Schedule- The schedule will likely be an overnight shift from 5:00PM-5:00AM, 3 ½ days per week which will include 1 day on the weekend.
