This is a day shift position.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure compliance with productivity, quality, and delivery standards set out in KPI's and departmental objectives Knowledge and understanding of processes and equipment within department Promote and maintain strong teamwork and positive employee relations Actively involved in employee training for temporary and permanent employees Prepare Incidents reports, and submit it in a timely manner to HR/EH&S/Foundry Manager for further actions Administers employee evaluations and performance reviews Report on employee time and attendance Ensures compliance with safety program and provides necessary tools consistent with established standards Leads and participates in continuous improvement initiatives specific to department Participates in company inventories and cycle counts as needed Work with Ops Support Specialist to update Shop Orders to reflect current manufacturing parameters Meet production standards as specified in job order and/or ISO documents Works with engineering to resolve major technical and/or quality issues on the production floor Use utmost discretion in dealing with company and customers' confidential data Responsible for ensuring employees are maintaining work areas (tools, work centers, equipment) Operate equipment in a safe manner, including to immediately report any equipment malfunction May perform other tasks as deemed appropriate, including physical labor relevant to department Education and Skill Requirement 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the foundry business or equivalent Detail oriented, highly organized and excels at multitasking and can implement and maintain processes Self-motivated, team player, strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, problem solving Excellent verbal and written communication within department and across departments Knowledge of foundry defects Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation (OHSA), guidelines and standards pertaining to the
