RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the day-to-day operation, quality, and safety functions in the department. Responsible for the coordination of staffing, materials, quality control, and maintenance to meet expected productivity. Maintain operations in compliance with SOP's, company policies and OSHA regulations. Provide process guidance and technical troubleshooting support to production personnel in order to maintain a high level of productivity and quality. Ability to understand and operate manufacturing equipment/process in the Polyurethane production area. Work closely with management staff regarding productivity, quality, and employee performance. Ensure good housekeeping is adhered to and maintained in all work areas. Any other duties as they arise.

EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage, lead, and motivate a team. Basic knowledge of OSHA, State, and Federal employee regulations. Excellent interpersonal, leadership and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a tight-fitting respirator. Compliance with safety standards requires remaining clean shaven in the respirator seal areas. Unrestricted ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, ladders and balance. Unrestricted ability to use hands and arms. Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and a wide range of temperatures. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is usually loud. All applicants must successfully pass an interview, background check, and drug & alcohol screenings.
