Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Logistical direction & Support for In-Person events Act as logistic lead for major tradeshows (InfoComm/ISE - booth size can reach 5400 sq ft or greater) as well as the US smaller regional events Work together with the Director, Experiences & Events and Experience & Events Application Engineer to plan logistics of highly technical, integrated experiences within the booth, including creating Vectorworks drawings. Ensure all event inventory is on-hand and manage any orders for new product as needed Manage an inventory system (Flex) to track hundreds of event-related items in two different locations in the US and Europe. Create production build schedules Prepare outbound shipments to all events and receive all inbound shipments from shows and return gear to inventory. Collaborate with internal QSC logistics teams and site vendors to ensure shipments are both on time & on budget for both domestic and international events. Act as technical liaison between various show services (power, data, rigging) - Deep technical expertise in this area is required. During show hours, ensure all show services are functioning properly and ntify Director, Experiences & Events if attention is required. Lead preparations for prebuild of major tradshows, ensuring all gear is staged on time Oversee load-in and pack-out of shows, including shipping management & documentation Hire and manage freelance contracts as needed, based on the size and scale of event. Live & Taped Online Event Production Management Plan and manage technical elements of live online events and taped productions Source upgrades and maintainence of existing $1M production studio and control room as well as specing technology upgrades including 20' LED wall, camera equipment, ChromaKey Cyc. Oversee the flow of our live production control room, including Blackmagic-based video cameras/switch/matrix/NDI steam integrations / recording workflow as well as Q-SYS/Dante audio flow Advanced experience in modern lighting design and tools Preproduction engineering to assess the needs of each project, check/troubleshoot associated gear to ensure smooth production "show days" Program and manage room automations (via Q-SYS, Millumin, DMX,) to allow multiple AV systems to be triggered automatically to simplify production needs and allow for minimal crews Manage freelance AV engineers as needed, based on the size and scale of the production. Act as technical liaison for remote studios including production in the Costa Mesa Experience Center Act as a consultant for the buildout of future studios worldwide Skills and Minimum Experience Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent field training; Audio Engineering/ Video Production 8-10 years of live events, live video production and taped video production 5+ years working knowledge of tradeshow electrics, mechanics, workflow. Job Summary The Event Production Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of technical production for QSC live events, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences. This role oversees event production logistics and supports pre-production, production, and post-production activities within the QSC Production Studio, including video-based training, commercial shoots, product demonstrations, and other multimedia content.
