Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. What You Will Do Job Summary - Responsible for providing leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells. Apply ACE, lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity. Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components. Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Execute business decisions in a fair and equitable manner, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives. Able to bridge business objectives across (3) operating shifts. Requires availability on all shifts. Support all Company obligations as they relate to Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, contracting with the United States Government and Administration of FAA policies and procedures. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree with 3 + years of experience in manufacturing and/or operations, AS degree with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations, OR in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or operations. Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Analytical, problem solving & mathematic skills. Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures. Must be flexible relative to department assignment and available for off-shift work. Proven flexibility/adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environments. Proven ability to plan and prioritize. Working knowledge of new product/process technologies. Strong computer skills. This position is classified as:
Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid:
Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote:
Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility. Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution. Typically requires specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
