Position Summary The Extrusion Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all extrusion manufacturing activities related to the production of medical tubing. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations while meeting quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The manager provides leadership to extrusion supervisors, leads, and operators, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures adherence to regulatory and customer requirements.   • Lead, coach, and develop extrusion supervisors, leads, and operators.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development plans.
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, training, and cross-training initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Direct daily extrusion operations to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
  • Monitor production performance, equipment utilization, scrap rates, and labor efficiency.
  • Coordinate resources to maximize throughput while maintaining product quality.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
  • Ensure effective communication across shifts and departments.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to optimize extrusion processes and equipment performance.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment upgrades.
  • Participate in new product introductions and process transfers.
  • Ensure process documentation and work instructions remain current and effective.
  • Supports MRB team through root cause investigations
  • Supports and coordinates CI projects focused on manufacturing efficiency KPI
  • Identify areas of potential risk and opportunity that could impact the production department performance.
  • Coordinates and helps operations and planning team to achieve monthly targets for extrusion department
  • Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.

  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in extrusion operations.
  • 3+ years managing supervisors and production teams.
  • Experience in medical tubing, catheter, wire and cable, or other regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of thermoplastic extrusion processes, including single-lumen, multi-lumen, co-extrusion, and tight-tolerance products preferred.
  • Knowledge of extrusion equipment, tooling, materials, and process controls.
  • Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and process validation.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
