Job Description
Job Overview:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient, safe, and quality production. They coordinate and supervise the activities of production staff, monitor production processes, enforce safety standards, and ensure products meet quality specifications. The role involves planning production schedules, managing resources, and collaborating with other departments to meet production targets and optimize workflow.Shift Schedule:
2nd Shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm)Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED; and/or minimum three years' experience in assembly and manufacturing operations Must have demonstrated leadership skills through experience Skilled in training team members and fostering collaborative working relationships Exceptional communication abilities Proficient in conveying information clearly across all organizational levels and working effectively with diverse teams Ability to adapt to everchanging business needs.Primary Job Responsibilities:
Oversees and supports the team lead by delegating tasks, monitoring the performance of production team members. Oversee various assembly operations to assemble sub-assemblies and finished products Plan and oversee production schedules to meet deadlines Identify and resolve production issues efficiently and effectively Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and product quality Ensure that products meet established quality standards Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe working environment by ensuring the proper use of safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and prohibiting the use of earbuds and personal cell phones on the production floor. Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and logistics teams to optimize operations Train new employees and cross-train team members to improve operational flexibility Verify that documentation such as production drawings, BOMs, and work order travelers are complete and understood Conduct interviews for new hires to evaluate their qualifications, skills, and fit for the team. Address all employee issues promptly and effectively, providing coaching and support to improve performance and resolve concerns. Maintain accurate timesheets and attendance records. Verify that employee's clock in and out correctly and properly manage break periods. Partner with Human Resources on employee relations issues and disciplinary actions to ensure consistent, fair, and compliant resolutions per company guidelines. Responding promptly and appropriately to work injuries by reporting work-related injuries and incidents to the appropriate authorities and safety. Serve as a professional ambassador for the company and act as the primary liaison for employees Communicate company goals and policies clearly to ensure team alignment Other duties as assigned.Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods Capability to lift and carry materials, tools, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to inspect equipment and products Repetitive motions such as lifting, gripping, or assembling parts Good vision and hearing to monitor operations and identify issues Ability to work in environments with exposure to loud noises, vibration, or temperature fluctuations Use of safety gear such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection as required Flexibility to work different shifts or overtime to meet production deadlinesWe Offer:
