Job Description

MM Technics LP is a tier one supplier to the automotive OEM's in South Carolina. The Prosperity plant joins a corporate family that has manufacturing operations in Germany and Poland. MM Technics is looking to hire a qualified candidate for our Quality Manager position.
Position Snapshot:
Under minimal supervision, this position will be responsible for the management of the quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate all quality management activities and ensure a high level of internal and external customer service.
  • Investigate and correct internal and external incidents, including documentation in defined systems.
  • Coordination of problem identification and action tracking within the 8D system.
  • Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
  • With the assistance of the corporate Quality Group, lead the
IATF16949, ISO
9001 and
ISO 14001
recertification efforts for the site.
  • Provide quality leadership as it applies to APQP activities in-house and at the suppliers.
  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Provide and oversee inspection activities for products throughout production cycle.
  • Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
  • Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
  • Create and direct environmental test functions and applications.
  • Lead the Health and Safety programs and annual training for the site.
  • Responsible and has authority to take-action to ensure that the Quality of the product meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a Quality related role in an automotive manufacturing environment. (experience with automotive stampings and assembly, preferred)
  • Knowledge of Quality Core Tools and Problem Solving Process.
  • Experience with the PPAP (AIAG) process.
  • Experience leading teams with project management and process improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; SAP, preferred
  • Experience with Customer, External and Internal Audits to include
IATF16949, ISO
9001 and
ISO 14001
Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
