A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.

Job Description

Position Summary Responsible for the smooth running of the Mattress In a Box (MIB) production lines. Deep knowledge in production procedures; workflow management. Direct personnel, decision making and problem solving. Position Description Formulate objectives, calculate costs, and understand requirements for the MIB lines Organize the cutting and MIB workflow to meet specifications and deadlines Monitor production to resolves issues Determine number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.) needed to ensure output meets quality standards and required work orders Enforce safety precautions Provide required training to personnel Position Requirements 5-7 years of production supervisory experience Knowledge of production management Understanding of quality standards and health and safety practices/regulations Knowledge on performance evaluation and personnel management Budgeting concepts Proficient in MS, FK, SAP, Allen Bradley, ERP software Communication, organizational and leadership skills Strong decision-making skills Results driven approach Expertise in foam and cutting machines
Work Environment :
Works in a climate controlled, office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and frequent computer usage. Will be significant time out of the office and with customers. Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
