Job Description

Summary:
Under the direction of department management, exercises responsibility for execution of Production strategies and tactical plans at (HIAMS) sites. This position develops priorities and objectives in cooperation with each site management team and oversees implementation. Position serves as a corporate resource to all Production staff and management teams at all sites. This position exercises independent judgement routinely and operates within established guidelines.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for the effective operation of his/her work center or other assigned area under his/her control.
Specifically:
  • Quality improvement
  • Schedule attainment
  • Cost improvement
  • Employee training
  • Control of operating supplies for his/her area
  • Safety of team members
  • Team member process training
  • Controlling cost of process 2.
Accomplish the tasks stated above through cultivation of the talents of his/her direct labor crews. 3. Foster an atmosphere of cooperation and harmony while following approved policies.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, skills and abilities: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent necessary. Associates Degree or additional vocational training preferred.
Experience:
At least two year experience as a production supervisor required.
Working conditions:
Physical demand: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Ability to work 40-60 hours per week, including weekends and holiday work. Must be available to be on call 7 days week.
Work environment:
Working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to office and laboratory areas.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$50,000.00
