Job Description

General Description / Objective The Production Team Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the production runs efficiently and according to daily and weekly targets. The Production Team Lead will report to the Production Supervisor and coordinate production activities in the assigned production Area or shift. Roles and Tasks Taking work orders and preparing required equipment for production Leading the change of shifts Ensure the production fulfills customer's specifications. Ensure the production meets the daily/weekly/monthly targets. Requesting Maintenance when required. Daily production follow-ups. Daily reports for production statuses. Coordinating required work among operators, inspectors, Maintenance, and 3rd party contractors. Monitoring the operators' performance during production. Notify Quality inspectors for controlling the conformity of product after each production process. Ensure the operators fill the production form during the production. Check the production forms filled after production, and deliver the same to the Data Input Responsible, in order to be registered in SAP and reported released from area. Arrange cleaning and maintenance of production equipment. Assisting the Production Supervisor/ Production Lead Foreman/Production Manager per their requests. Fulfillment of 5S routine in areas. Notifications of accidents or incidents. Notification of unsafe acts and conditions. Ensure operations are SAP scanned by every operator. Ensure QM characteristics are filled in SAP for each required process by operators. Conduct discipline to coworkers (production operators) in case of needed. These roles and tasks are only enunciatively but not limitative. Additional work-related tasks and responsibilities can be assigned to this position as per job content requirement and/or Supervisor's request.

Job Requirements Education Requirements :
High School or equivalent (GED), or Elementary education plus minimum experience required.
Specific Knowledge :
  • Ability in supervising operators' compliance to Codes, Standards and Procedures
  • Detail oriented, smart, hands-on person
  • Able to communicate efficiently with shop floor operators
  • Able to anticipate, detect and solve problems as well as to suggest new solutions
Languages :
  • Fluent English IT /
Technical Knowledge :
  • Microsoft office - SAP or any
ERP System Minimum Experience Required :
  • 2 years on manufacturing, assembly or industrial process.
Physical and Safety Requirements The ability to lift 20/40/80 pounds regularly The ability to move, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, grasp and walk around the manufacturing facility without restrictions The ability to stand upright on feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. The ability to respond quickly to sounds The ability to move safely over uneven surfaces or in confined spaces The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations The ability to work in extreme weather and wear all required personal protective gear correctly all day The ability to withstand noise and dust in manufacturing plant and warehouse environment. Comply with the defined waste management practices, including the safe management of chemicals, where applicable, according to Material Safety Data Sheets and PPE requirements. Be conscious of the environmental impact of their tasks, and take initiative to reduce and correctly manage waste amounts, also by reminding peers of proper waste management practices To report any waste related issues and observations to their Supervisor, and/or the Environmental Responsible of the plant. Working according to State, Federal, OSHA and local health safety standards, rules and regulations is mandatory; this includes but not limited to GRI internal company safety standards (IPRL) and waste internal procedures. Preferable Requirements
  • Knowledge of Welding, Painting or Assembly operations (and related equipment) highly preferred
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) Comments Internal Candidates and/or Employees from other GRI factories, are considered competent for this job if they have at least 2 years of experience on similar processes.
