Job Function- Supervise, direct and coach warehouse shift workers
- Oversee and coordinate movement and handling of incoming and outgoing inventory and associated documentation
- Supervise inventory tagging program.
- Coordinate documentation of pertinent inventory information as required. Research if necessary
- Coordinate and communicate with Truck Drivers as necessary
- Oversee convenience cutting operation
- Perform and oversee inventory location transfer logging as specified by procedure
- Maintain complete inter shift communications
- Maintain high level of safety during shift
- Coordinate work order and other paperwork flow as required
- Interact with sale department as required
- Communicate with Processing and Traffic Managers as required
- Contribute to annual employee performance reviews for department personnel
- Perform appropriate coaching of shift employees including reprimands and/or disciplinary actions as required, in accordance with company policy and in cooperation with department head.
- Assist in the formulation and maintenance of procedural manuals for all major department functions
- Regularly analyze shift performance through the use of specific management reports
- Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Act as liaison for regular communication among shifts
- Performance of any/all Warehouse Department tasks as required by the absence of a department member or due to the existence of a backlog of work.
- Fill in as supervisor for other shifts as required or as requested by management.
- Special projects as assigned by management.
