Director of Operations Position Summary:
Responsible for leading and managing the fabrication department, ensuring the team is productive, efficient, and accountable. This position requires strong welding/fabrication skills, management experience, and the ability to develop and improve the fabrication team. The Director will work closely with the Director of Operations to meet customer needs and will assist in developing, preparing, and supporting the company's future sale of fabricated containers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and manage the fabrication team. Oversee welding, fabrication, quality, productivity, and project completion. Hands on Fabrication and Welding. Design solutions using CAD CAM software. Assign work and hold employees accountable for performance and deadlines. Track inventory, materials, tools, and supplies. Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and team performance. Work with the Director of Operations to meet customer and project requirements. Assist with the development, pricing, production, and preparation of fabricated containers for future sale. Provide updates at weekly Senior Management meetings regarding production, staffing, inventory, projects, and opportunities. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
5 Years of strong welding and fabrication experience, including MIG and TIG welding, press brake, lathe, mill, and CNC operations. Previous supervisory or management experience. Experience successfully using CAD to design and document products. Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to balance hands-on fabrication with department management. Business-minded approach with an interest in helping develop and grow the company's fabricated container product line.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
