Welding Foreman Loose Cannon Industries is seeking a disciplined, high accountability Welding Foreman to lead field execution with precision, quality, and ownership. This role is responsible for driving quality, holding teams accountable, and ensuring work is completed right the first time. The Foreman sets the standard. Quality, pace, jobsite control, and team performance all start here. Position Overview The Welding Foreman is responsible for overseeing all welding and installation activities in the field on commercial construction projects. This role ensures that all work is executed to company standards, meets project specifications, and is completed efficiently without rework. You will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to plan, execute, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget. You are responsible for leading your crew, managing daily operations, and owning the outcome of every job you are assigned. Core Responsibilities Lead and manage your field crew with clear direction and accountability Take full ownership of quality and execution from layout through final installation Perform layout using traditional and laser layout tools to ensure accuracy before work begins Ensure all work is completed correctly the first time, minimizing rework and delays Work with the Superintendent to plan daily and weekly work, including manpower, materials, tools, and sequencing Enforce company standards for workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism Ensure proper use of PPE and full compliance with all safety requirements at all times Complete and submit all required daily documentation, including daily reports, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and hot work permits Maintain compliance with all site specific and GC required documentation and reporting Conduct ongoing QC checks and address issues immediately Communicate proactively with the Superintendent regarding progress, issues, and upcoming needs Protect finished work, surrounding areas, and jobsite conditions at all times Maintain organized, clean, and controlled jobsites Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained, secured, and accounted for Train, mentor, and develop team members while holding them accountable Expectations This role requires a high level of ownership, professionalism, and work ethic: Show up on time, prepared, and ready to lead every day Step into difficult tasks and situations without being asked Hold your team accountable and enforce standards consistently Make decisions based on plans, codes, and company standards Take pride in craftsmanship and the finished product Maintain control of your jobsite, including safety, cleanliness, and workflow Stay as needed to ensure the job is complete and set up for success Requirements Ability to obtain anAWS D1.1 SMAW
Certification 5+ years of experience in structural welding and fabrication in commercial construction Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and commercial construction requirements Experience working on active commercial jobsites with multiple trades Ability to read and interpret plans, shop drawings, and specifications Proficiency in layout, including use of laser layout tools Proven leadership and crew management experience Strong communication and problem solving skills Clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles Must pass a drug test Preferred OSHA 30 Certification Telehandler, Aerial Lift, PFAS, and Signal Person certifications FCAW and TIG welding experience Experience leading multiple crews or complex projects Familiarity with project scheduling and coordination Final Note This is a leadership role that requires ownership, accountability, and a commitment to high standards.
