Job Description

Job Description The Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for supervising the pick, pack, bulk, replenishment, and shipping operations within a 3PL warehouse. The role demands a focus on maximizing efficiency and productivity while ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. The supervisor will also manage staff, maintain safety standards, and continuously improve operational processes.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a warehouse or production supervisor or a similar management role, preferably within a 3PL or logistics environment. The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Creating a world-class customer-focused operation with the goal of providing perfect customer service.
  • Reviewing, developing, and updating procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and participate in corporate project management functions to evaluate and define best practices and continuous improvement for the fulfillment center.
  • Ensuring efficient processing of finished goods to be shipped to customers via pick-to-tote operation.
  • Managing workflow to meet planned levels of service and accuracy standards.
  • Providing periodic reports to the manager as directed.
  • Supervising the daily work of the order fillers, utility/pack-out associates, and order inspectors.
  • Coordinating the picking and packaging of finished products for shipment via a parcel carrier.
  • Assisting the manager with department budget and budget forecasts as required, providing information for reconciliation of expenses to budget as needed.
  • Administering policies and procedures in assigned areas.
  • Supervising any assembly work that may be required.
  • Training, developing, and overseeing associates' performance and accuracy in the assigned area.
  • Effective in communicating with associates at all levels of the business.
  • Managing the assigned area to ensure proper staffing is in place.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of oversight experience in a Distribution/Warehouse environment, utilizing conventional material-handling techniques and high-volume pick-and-pack order fulfillment methods, is required. Experience in Lean Six Sigma or 5s is a plus.
Skills:
1. The ideal candidate has experience managing 3PLs. 2. Ability to lead and inspire a team, act with a high degree of integrity, autonomy, and independence, and work effectively with others to create a cooperative and successful team environment. 3. Possess strong communication and people skills and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and motivational abilities. 4. Computer literacy knowledge, such as MS Office and WMS systems, particularly inventory movement and transactions. 5. Can work under pressure in an extremely fast-paced work environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines, and be flexible and able to react quickly to time-sensitive requests and changes. 6. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. 7. Able to work overtime and weekends if necessary.
