Assistant Trade Superintendent OPREX Construction Lubbock, TX Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Spanish Teamwork English Attention to detail Project scheduling Full Job Description Position Overview The Assistant Trade Superintendent (ATS) supports the successful execution of concrete operations at OPREX Construction. This role is responsible for helping ensure work is completed safely, correctly, efficiently, and in alignment with OPREX standards. The ATS works directly with the Trade Superintendent (TS), Trade Foreman (TF), Project Superintendent (PS), subcontractors, and field crews to coordinate planning, execution, quality control, scheduling, and communication. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone committed to growing into a high-level field leader. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Coordination Review drawings and specifications to help develop execution plans Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, inspections, and deliveries Assist with layout, surveying, and field coordination Align execution with the TS, TF, and PS Field Execution Support daily concrete operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and correctly Work alongside the Trade Foreman to lead crews and maintain production flow Help solve field issues and maintain alignment between planning and execution Subcontractor Oversight Support subcontractor coordination based on project complexity and leadership direction Perform inspections, verify layout, and confirm execution feasibility Operate as a collaborative field leader focused on helping projects move forward Quality Control & Safety Ensure all work aligns with project drawings, specifications, ADA requirements, and OPREX standards Maintain high standards for finish quality, layout accuracy, and overall project cleanliness Enforce and uphold all OPREX safety standards and expectations on-site Project Financial Support Enter receipts and project expenses into JobTread Verify invoice accuracy and completeness Support the TS in monitoring project financial performance and budget alignment Qualifications Experience in concrete construction preferred Ability to read plans and understand layout and field execution Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish preferred Basic computer and project management software skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced field environment What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and ownership mentality Team-oriented leader who communicates well with crews and subcontractors High attention to detail and commitment to quality Problem solver who stays calm under pressure Willingness to grow into a Trade Superintendent role What This Role Is NOT The ATS is not a passive observer, punitive inspector, or purely administrative position.
