POSITION OVERVIEW

Lone Star Trailer & Body, LLC is looking for an Install Supervisor to join our team in a newly created position. This is a working supervisor role for our Install Shop, meaning you will be directly involved in the hands-on installation work while also providing day-to-day supervision, organization, and direction to the Install Shop team. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, strong leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to getting the job done. This position requires someone who is comfortable working with tools, equipment, mechanical components, hydraulic systems, PTO's (Power Take-Offs ) and installation systems and who can learn and understand the various systems used in our builds. Our Install Shop works on a variety of builds, including Rig Vacs, Belly Dumps, and 130-185 BBL Tankers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Supervise and work alongside Install Shop employees on daily installation projects Install and assist with installation of airlines, engines, hoses, fittings, and other components Worth with and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and PTO's Read and understand installation requirements, work orders, and build specifications Organize daily workflow and help ensure jobs stay on schedule Assign tasks and provide direction to Install Shop employees Monitor the quality and accuracy of installation work Work hands-on with employees to troubleshoot installation issues and determine solutions Ensure tools, materials, and components are available and organized for upcoming jobs Communicate with the Shop Foreman regarding progress, challenges, staffing, and production needs Help train employees on proper installation procedures and safe work practices Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Step in and perform physical work alongside the team as needed Perform other duties related to Install Shop operations as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand mechanical systems and components Hands-on experience working with tools, equipment, hoses, fittings, or mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions Comfortable performing physically demanding, hands-on work Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to give direction while working effectively as part of a team Dependable, accountable, and willing to lead by example Ability to work in a shop environment and adapt to changing production needs Heavy equipment, trailer, or related experience is a plus

THIS IS A HANDS-ON SUPERVISOR ROLE

This position is not a desk-only supervisory position. The Install Supervisor will spend a significant amount of time working directly alongside the Install Shop team and participating in the physical installation of components. We're looking for someone who can lead from the floor, keep people and projects organized, solve problems, and get the work done.
