Updated 08/25/2026 Job Description Job Summary Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead mechanical and electrical assembly operations within a high-tech manufacturing environment. This position will oversee daily production activities, ensure quality and throughput objectives are met, and develop a high-performing production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or assembly leadership and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment. Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, space systems, or other complex manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Monday-Thursday, 5:30 PM-4:00 AM (4x10 schedule) Requirements Key Responsibilities Supervise mechanical and electrical assembly operations, ensuring compliance with work instructions, engineering specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards. Lead and coordinate production personnel to ensure products are completed on schedule, within cost expectations, and to established quality standards. Supervise a team of 10+ direct employees while maintaining accountability, productivity, and engagement. Monitor daily production performance and address issues that may impact safety, quality, delivery, or efficiency. Maintain 6S standards, housekeeping, organization, and overall operational effectiveness throughout assigned production areas. Coach, mentor, and develop employees while supporting training, skills development, and certification requirements. Conduct process audits and ensure employees consistently follow established procedures and manufacturing documentation. Identify production bottlenecks and work collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop timely solutions. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to resolve production issues and maintain smooth build operations. Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and employee performance. Establish a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Assist with employee performance management, including coaching and corrective action when necessary. Communicate production priorities, challenges, and results to management and other shifts. Ensure effective shift handoffs and continuity between production teams. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, scientific, business, or another related technical field preferred. Experience 5+ years of production or manufacturing supervisory experience. Experience directly supervising teams of 10 or more employees. Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or other hands-on operational environments. Experience working with production schedules, quality standards, work instructions, and performance metrics. Aerospace, defense, electronics, precision manufacturing, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising mechanical and/or electrical assembly operations. Aerospace, aviation, space, satellite, avionics, or defense manufacturing experience. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. Experience with 5S/6S workplace organization. Familiarity with MES, ERP, manufacturing documentation, or production tracking systems. Experience working closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams. Understanding of high-reliability or precision assembly processes. Technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with manufacturing documentation systems, MES, ERP, or other production management platforms preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods. Regular walking, standing, bending, reaching, and working around production equipment and assembly stations. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to work around mechanical assembly stations, tooling, machinery, and production equipment. Ability to work the assigned second-shift schedule.
