Job Description

Job Summary Responsible for coordinating and supervising employees and activities within the fabrication department to ensure an effective and efficient fabrication operation that meets safety, quality, and production standards. Identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues. Responsibilities
  • Assign work to department personnel to achieve department objectives using knowledge of production processes, company policies, production schedules, work orders, equipment capacity and employee capabilities.
  • Recommends and initiates improvement opportunities in their areas.
  • Must constantly focus on improving line performance, limiting downtime, improving changeover time on all lines.
  • Monitor people's performance and address inefficiencies through coaching and positive motivation and/or formal disciplinary action if required.
  • Develop employees to the "expert level" of their area of responsibility. Certify each employee has completed their training and is fully qualified.
  • Ensure plant safety rules are followed including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.
  • Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards. Responsible for reporting all quality defects.
  • Must communicate clearly with team what is expected.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and routinely lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Responsible for compliance with safety and housekeeping requirements.
  • Evaluates employee performance and accountability.
  • Other duties as assigned Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years production, welding or assembly line experience preferred.
  • Experience leading and supervising a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead team in multi-tasking, prioritization, and meeting timelines on deliverable.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and provide direction to a team of employees.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to demonstrate welding job tasks.
  • Ability to lift 55 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
Pay:
$23.00 per hour
