Job Description:
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of electrical assemblers and technicians engaged in the wiring of electrical components within custom enclosures for data centers and backup power systems. The role ensures safe, compliant, and high-quality electrical builds are completed according to production schedules and engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electrical wiring teams, ensuring timely completion of wiring assemblies.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, company standards, and safety protocols.
  • Interpret and communicate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents to team members.
  • Support hands-on troubleshooting of electrical issues and guide technicians through root cause resolution.
  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and assist in employee development and training.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure accurate builds and resolve design-related issues.
  • Manage workflow and resource allocation to meet production schedules and quality targets.
  • Implement and support lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.
  • Ensure accurate completion of documentation such as wiring checklists, work orders, and nonconformance reports.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in electrical systems preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical wiring or panel assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, UL standards, and safe wiring practices.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools used in electrical assembly.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.
).
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through production facilities.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • Regularly required to be exposed to outdoor elements.
