Spherion is currently recruiting a Production Supervisor for a leading developer and manufacturer of specialty nonwoven product solutions for the automotive, industrial, and consumer markets. In this role, you will direct shift activities and execute the production plan by leading a team of hourly associates and Team Leads. You will oversee equipment output, plant safety, and associate performance while collaborating across departments to ensure the consistent, on-time delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities:
Shift Management & Operations:

Schedule and assign personnel, establish daily priorities, monitor progress, and manage timekeeping and absenteeism.

Safety & Environment:

Maintain a safe, clean, organized plant environment (5S), enforce safety policies, and train/re-train staff on machinery safety to minimize on-the-job injuries.

Quality & Inventory Control:

Ensure compliance with

ISO 9001-2015

standards, oversee accurate record-keeping for raw materials/WIP, and coordinate with Shipping, Receiving, and Quality teams to optimize workflow.

Team Leadership & Development:

Hire, coach, train, and evaluate production employees, setting clear performance objectives and fostering a respectful work culture. ...

Continuous Improvement:

Track production metrics (efficiency, utilization, waste), resolve process bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintenance & Support:

Partner with maintenance to schedule equipment repairs around production, report facility concerns, and support the Production Manager.

Working hours:

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:

Lean Certification. Formal front-line supervisory or leadership training.

Education:
High School Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience. Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
