Position Description The Gummy Lead is responsible for overseeing daily gummy production operations, ensuring product quality, consistency, safety, and efficiency. This role leads and trains the gummy production team, coordinates workflow, and ensures all processes comply with company standards, food safety regulations, and production schedules. Essential Responsibilities Leads and supervises the gummy production team during assigned shifts. Ensures all gummy production processes follow SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality standards. Maintains a functional understanding of each production area and role, sufficient to provide training and coverage wherever and whenever needed. Monitors batching, cooking, depositing, drying, sanding/coating, and packaging processes. Verifies accurate measurements, formulations, and ingredient usage. Conducts quality checks to ensure gummies meet texture, flavor, and appearance standards. Troubleshoots production issues and escalates concerns as needed. Maintains a clean, organized, and food-safe production area. Completes production logs, batch records, and shift reports accurately. Trains new team members and provides ongoing coaching. Coordinates with QA, Maintenance, and management teams. Ensures equipment is properly set up, operated, and cleaned. Enforces GMP, food safety, and workplace safety standards at all times. Additional Responsibilities Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in food manufacturing, confectionery, or gummy production preferred. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Competencies / Skill

Qualifications Strong knowledge of gummy manufacturing processes (batching, cooking, depositing, curing/drying, coating). Ability to read and follow formulations, batch records, and SOPs. Understanding of GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Experience with production equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting. Quality control awareness (texture, weight, appearance, consistency). Accurate ingredient weighing and documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Effective communication and team leadership skills. Adaptability and flexibility with changing production needs. English proficiency required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in warm production environments. Manual dexterity for handling equipment and materials.
