Position Summary The Shift Manager is responsible for coordinating production across the entire facility during the assigned shift. This position keeps departments aligned, removes roadblocks, coordinates support, and holds leaders accountable for meeting the shift plan. The Shift Manager is not expected to personally troubleshoot every production or equipment problem. Department Supervisors, Line Leads, Maintenance, Quality, and other support teams retain responsibility for resolving issues within their areas. Reports To Director of Operations Direct Reports Department Supervisors and Department Leads Line or Room Leads when a Department Supervisor is not assigned Primary Responsibilities Lead safe, compliant, and efficient production across the shift. Communicate the production plan, staffing priorities, and performance expectations. Coordinate work between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Planning, and other support departments. Confirm that every operating department, room, and line has assigned leadership. Monitor production results, staffing, downtime, quality concerns, and schedule attainment. Remove roadblocks by assigning the correct owner and coordinating the required support. Escalate issues that cannot be resolved at the shift level. Hold Department Supervisors and Line Leads accountable for results and follow- up. Ensure shift handoffs are accurate, timely, and complete. Provide a clear end-of-shift performance report. Decision Authority The Shift Manager may: Reallocate employees within the shift. Adjust production priorities when conditions change. Request immediate support from Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, or other departments. Stop work when safety, quality, or compliance is at risk. Escalate unresolved problems to senior leadership. The Shift Manager does not independently change approved procedures, quality requirements, production standards, or work-order specifications. What Success Looks Like Employees work safely and follow GMP requirements. The shift understands the plan and current priorities. Production stays aligned across departments. Problems are assigned to the correct owner quickly. Support departments are engaged when needed. Leaders are held accountable for commitments. Shift performance and risks are communicated clearly. The next shift receives an organized handoff with no surprises. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
