Pet Food Manufacturing Supervisor Reports To:
Plant Manager Location:
Tupelo, Mississippi The Supervisor oversees daily production operations to ensure pet food products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. This role manages production teams, monitors processes, and drives continuous improvement to meet output goals while maintaining product integrity and safety. Supervise day-to-day operations on the production floor, ensuring compliance with schedules, safety standards, and quality specifications. Lead, train, and motivate production staff to meet performance and safety goals. Monitor equipment operation and coordinate maintenance or repairs to minimize downtime. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and relevant feed/pet food safety regulations. Review production; implement corrective actions to improve efficiency. Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and inventory documentation. Identify and lead process improvement initiatives for productivity, waste reduction, and cost efficiency. Uphold company policies regarding health, safety, and employee conduct. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in manufacturing supervision, ideally in pet food, animal feed, or food processing. Some knowledge of GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and basic food safety principles. Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues quickly. Computer experience required. Proficient in Word and Excel. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Work environment may include noise, humidity, and variable temperatures. Work Schedule Full-time; may include rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as production demands.
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
